MARIA was all about living life to its fullest . She had a passion for many things . She was the webmaster for Popcorn Players , a local community theatre located in Azle , Texas . She participated in one play and decided she liked to watch instead . She never missed a play and won an award as their most loyal fan .
From childhood on , Maria loved her cats . Talking about them always brought a smile to her face . Most importantly , she loved spending time with her family , her boyfriend Paul , and friends .
Maria joined CMA on August 17 , 2021 , and joined the Koinonia Riders Chapter in Weatherford , Texas . We all quickly realized Maria ' s passion for riding her Can- Am Spyder . She was always looking for someone to ride with , sometimes doing three to four different rides in one day . She wore a patch that said , " If you don ' t ride in the rain , you don ' t ride ."
She started a ladies ' Can-Am Spyder group . She was so excited at how fast the member numbers grew . With that , the number of planned rides increased , giving Maria more opportunity to do one of the things she loved , riding her Can-Am .
When the Koinonia Riders started getting road names , they were usually unique . Well , Maria rode a Can-Am , so she didn ' t have a kickstand when it came to " KSU ," Kick Stand Up . So she went out and bought a bicycle kickstand and brought it to the rides for " KSU ." That is when she started to be known as Kickstand . At first , she wasn ' t too happy with it . We have a monthly dinner run , and at the last dinner run that she attended , she arrived a short time after we were all there . She walked in and sat down .
Slick , one of our members , said , " Hey , Kickstand ." She looked at him , smiled , and said , " I like it ."

On October 9 , 2021 , Kickstand was out for a ride . Unfortunately , she was in an accident . She went to be with Jesus on October 14 , 2021 .
Her passing has left a deep hole in our hearts , but we are all assured we will see her again one day . She had only been a member for a short time but left an impact on us .
We had a memorial ride and a celebration of life for Kickstand at the Popcorn Players Theatre on December 4 , 2021 .
She loved life , friends , and family but always first was her love of Jesus . We were all blessed to know her . We love you , Maria ' Kickstand ' Parisi . CMA
