Barcodes
Static barcodes are available at no additional charge. If the barcode is a different color than the rest of the imprint, additional ink charge applies. Ask for pricing on variable barcodes. Black or dark inks are recommended. White stock is highly recommended. Clear stock may be used depending on the color of the application Red Fluorescent, Gold, Silver, White EDP, and Laser stocks are not recommended, due to possible scanning problems.
What Does the Barcode Represent?
A check digit is the last number in barcodes EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E. It is determined by all the preceding digits in the barcode. The check digit cannot be changed on its own. The numbers before it have to be changed first.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Barcodes vs. QR Codes
A traditional 1D barcode( UPC / EAN) stores up to 30 digits because the 1D barcode only stores data horizontally. 2D barcodes( QR) store up to 7,089 characters by storing data in both horizontally and vertically. The additional storage capacity of QR codes accommodates a variety of data beyond numbers: text, hyperlinks, pictures, maps, video, email, contact info, and calendar events.
