Welcome to Spooky October at TCR

Several years ago we presented the thrilling and bloody Dracula in our Grandon Studio . It was so much fun we decided to make Halloween programming an October tradition . Then came the chilling and cool Let the Right One In , followed by the terrifying play adaptation of Stephen King ’ s Misery . We even managed to work in a virtual Halloween play festival and Conor McPherson ’ s Irish vampire tale , St . Nicholas , presented outdoors at Brucemore . ( So many vampires !)
We clearly love Halloween ( are there any theater people who don ’ t ?)! This season , we bring the spooky party into the auditorium . Terror downstairs and uproarious , campy fun upstairs .
We have waited seemingly ages for The Woman in Black to be available after its legendary West End run ( over 13,000 performances !). I could think of no better artist to helm this actor-driven ghost tale than Patrick du Laney , who led the brilliant Let the Right One In for us in 2019 . Patrick ’ s work with actors is masterful , which is no surprise – he ’ s a gifted actor himself ( Broadway ’ s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and many regional credits ) and an acting teacher .
Lucie Greene ’ s design and scenic painting has once again transformed our Grandon Studio into something never seen before . She is an astonishing
