outdoor canvas for hundreds of amateur artists of all ages to “ Paint the Town .” The Children ’ s Art Preservation Association created this unique family art event as a way for the community to participate in the arts together . The focus of the event is the painting of fivefoot squares on and around Morrison ’ s Main Street . More than 6,000 attend the event annually to enjoy the painting , variety of entertainment , and great food .

Fulton Fall Festival
Heritage Canyon | Fulton , IL
Celebrate the Autumn season in Downtown Fulton , at Fulton Fall Fest ( traditionally 10 am to 4 pm ) with a car show , live music , beer garden , and seasonal food like s ’ mores , caramel corn , caramel apples , etc . For the kids there will be gunny sack races , pumpkin painting , make n take crafts , straw bale maze , inflatable rides and many more games . Performances will take place on the main stage with an emcee throughout the day . A Craft Show will be at the RFCC , a Color Run / Walk / Ride and a Soap Box Derby will take place as well . Other areas in Fulton are celebrating Fall . The Early American Crafters portray pioneer living at Heritage Canyon from 10am-4pm . Demonstrations include broomstick making , wood stove cooking , weaving , knitting , candle making , wood carving , music and more .

The annual Mardi Gras parade occurs in late October in downtown Clinton . The event includes marching bands , creative floats and features a different theme each year .

Get your Halloween costumes on and join the fun as you walk along the local downtown businesses to get your “ tricks ” or “ treats !” Downtown trick-or-treat is from 4pm - 6pm . Going on at the same time , is Children ’ s Discovery Center ’ s “ Trunk-or-Treat ” where the parking lot is full of treats galore ! Don ’ t forget your candy bag !

Halloween Parade

Held the Saturday before Halloween , hundreds of Ghouls , Goblins , Princesses , Witches , Super Heroes and more converge on downtown Morrison . Line-up for the parade begins at Community State Bank with the parade proceeding down Main Street to the Post Office . All participants receive treat bags and prizes are awarded for best costumes .
