Afternoon Adventures - Geared for kids in kindergarten to 6th grade . Join us on Wednesday afternoons at 2:30-4:00pm for fun exploration and activities .
Thursday , June 2nd at 1:30pm : Turtles with Clinton County Conservation .
Wednesday , June 15th at 1pm : Lots of Layers Come and learn about collage by creating a paper pizza with staff from the ISU Extension Office .
Wednesday , June 22nd at 10:30am : Storytime with KQPT-PBS . Learn about public television with storytime and a craft with our local PBS !
Wednesday , July 27th at 1:30pm : Hawks with Clinton County Conservation .

SAFETY TOWN 2022 Parks & Recreation Department

This special course designed for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall 2022 , is 5 days of learning how to be safe and becoming familiar with safety services guided by teen instructors , many of whom are Safety Town graduates themselves ! The course is organized into four 30 minute activities . Topics include crossing the street , fire , bike safety , stranger safety AND be visited by community service & safety personnel . Children will learn by classroom instruction , video and practice in ‘ cars ’ & on foot in “ The Town ”. On Thursday , drop off and pick up at the Riverview Pool , 101 S . 1st St . We will learn pool safety and save sometime to swim . Parents are welcomed to stay with us as long , or as short , as they desire . We ’ d like parents to join us on Day # 1 for orientation , first minutes of Monday and on Day # 5 for graduation , last
30 min on Friday . $ 35 per child - Checks payable to : ‘ Clinton Parks & Recreation Dept .’ Limit - 30 students per session . [ Note : all students must be toilet trained .] DAYS : Monday thru Friday , Drop off by 9am , Pickup at 11:30 am

Showboat Theatre Deckhand Program for Teens

THE DECKHAND PROGRAM FOR TEENS is an opportunity for high school students to observe & participate in all areas of a professional theatre company . There is no cost to participate . This year , the program will have two sessions , and any teen interested in any aspect of theatre production is welcome to join – not just performers . Teens may sign up for one or both sessions , and all Deckhands will be invited to a final week of mastern classes with professional artists from July 26 through July 30 . Interested teens may also work as apprentices on our mainstage productions in various departments , when scheduling permits . The Deckhand season will include two full productions .
