Clinical Connections Vol 2, Issue 1 | Page 3

Dear Colleagues,
Dear Colleagues,
At Renown Health, we are always looking toward the future, strategically planning to meet the growing needs of our community and advancing the care we provide.
While much of this work develops steadily over months, years and even decades, the past few months have been especially energizing as we’ ve witnessed major long-term projects coming to life. Ideas that began on paper and in conversations, evolving through blueprints and hiring, are now becoming tangible realities – ribbon cuttings, new buildings and expanded service lines.
In just the past nine months, we’ ve celebrated the opening of several key programs. We unveiled the Specialty Care Center at South Meadows and launched the Conrad Breast Center on its third floor, expanding access to advanced breast health care. We also opened the Helmsley Simulation Center – made possible through the generous support of The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust – enhancing our ability to train future healthcare professionals with leading-edge technology.
Beyond physical expansion, we’ ve also made important progress in access and service. I’ m particularly excited about the launch of online scheduling for mammography appointments, making preventive care more convenient for our patients. We’ ve also expanded surgical services in key areas, including Women’ s Health and Colorectal Surgery, increasing both capacity and access to care.
In addition to expanding our physical and clinical services, we are proud to deepen our not-for-profit mission and community impact. This year, Renown Health awarded Community Grants to 51 local organizations. These partnerships extend our mission beyond the walls of our campuses, investing in programs and initiatives that improve health and well-being across northern Nevada – a vital part of our long-term vision to support a healthier community.
I’ d also like to recognize and congratulate the UNR Med Class of 2025, who graduated on May 14. Their commitment to the medical profession is inspiring, and we hope many of them choose to continue their journey here in northern Nevada – and with Renown Health.
Most importantly, I want to thank all of you for your continued dedication and for helping bring our shared vision to life. The progress we’ ve made this year is just the beginning, and I look forward to everything we will accomplish together in the months, years and decades to come.
Wishing you the best of health,
Brian Erling, MD, MBA President & CEO, Renown Health Brian. Erling @ renown. org
