20 | NOV. 2016 Clear Water Landcare – The Ripple Thank You Celebrating Our Successes Clear Water Landcare hosted the 6th Annual Celebrating Our Successes October 5. A great success Sixty plus people took the time to attend the sixth annual Celebrating Our Successes event on Wednesday, October 5. Using a short story format nine speakers shared eleven stories in person and another six stories were shared in digital format by the Cows and Fish organization. The feedback, both written and verbal, encouraged Clear Water Landcare to keep providing such a positive setting to share good news environmental stories. The variety of stories came from industry, individuals, conservation groups, non-government organizations, municipal government and in some cases reflected businesses and others working together for the common environmental good. In addition to a wide variety of stories, five people received Watershed Ambassador Awards from the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance. These awards recognize the good work done by people who care for land and water. In each case the recipients are not www.clearwatercounty.ca people who seek the limelight but rather work away diligently and often quietly for the good of watersheds. Those who attended this uplifting storytelling event did so free of charge because of the generosity of these companies. Many thanks also to the Cows and Fish organization for bringing a collection of digital stories reflecting the passion of Albertans in environmental stewardship.
