Clear Water Landcare – The Ripple
Thank You
Celebrating Our Successes
Clear Water Landcare hosted the 6th Annual Celebrating Our Successes October 5.
A great success
Sixty plus people took the time to attend
the sixth annual Celebrating Our Successes
event on Wednesday, October 5. Using a
short story format nine speakers shared
eleven stories in person and another six
stories were shared in digital format by the
Cows and Fish organization. The feedback,
both written and verbal, encouraged Clear
Water Landcare to keep providing such a
positive setting to share good news environmental stories.
The variety of stories came from industry,
individuals, conservation groups, non-government organizations, municipal government and in some cases reflected businesses
and others working together for the common
environmental good.
In addition to a wide variety of stories,
five people received Watershed Ambassador
Awards from the Red Deer River Watershed
Alliance. These awards recognize the good
work done by people who care for land and
water. In each case the recipients are not

people who seek the limelight but rather
work away diligently and often quietly for
the good of watersheds.
Due to incredible financial support the day
was free of charge for all who attended.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
Clear Water Landcare thanks the sponsors
of the 2016 Celebrating our Successes event.
Those who attended this uplifting storytelling event did so free of charge because of the
generosity of these companies. Thanks also
to the Red Deer River Watershed Alliance
and its corporate sponsor ATCO, for honoring five persons with Watershed Ambassador
Awards. Many thanks also to the Cows and
Fish organization for bringing a collection of
digital stories reflecting the passion of Albertans in environmental stewardship. We trust
those who take care of land and water will be
encouraged to continue doing amazing work
in Clearwater County and beyond.
