Prescription to Get Active
Clearwater County and the Town of Rocky
Mountain House health-care system have
paired up with the Primary Care Network (PCN)
to offer residents a prescription to get active.
Residents can visit their doctor or healthcare
professional to receive a prescription for a one
month free access pass to area fitness centres.
This prescription allows residents to visit the
facility best suited to their physical needs to
start getting active and begin their journey to
living an active lifestyle. Health Canada recommends 150 minutes of exercise per week to
improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle that
can improve your health and prevent chronic
diseases such as obesity, diabetes and cancer.
