MOVERS&SHAKERS Smooth Operations » » WAYNE HUNTER HAS joined Emmegi (UK) as Service and Operations Manager with a brief to make Emmegi a company which is easier to do business with. Hugely experienced in the industry, Wayne is focusing on improving the entire customer experience right from the point when a machine is ordered all the way through to when it is delivered and serviced. His primary responsibility will be Emmegi’s experienced service and installation team and Wayne has already begun implementing new procedures for machine installations and service calls which formalise the project management timeline for every job and make sure that is communicated to customers. He is also putting in place new training schedules for the engineering team to ensure that skills are kept up to date and new systems for monitoring and analysing everything from breakdown response times to customer feedback. Wayne joins Kully Hunter in Emmegi (UK)’s expanded service department, and together they are committed to delivering a five- star service. Alongside Wayne’s new processes, Kully is also implementing a new CRM system at Emmegi (UK) which will make communication with customers more regular and efficient. www.emmegi.com New staff further sign of investment in quality » » LEADING COMPOSITE DOOR manufacturer Distinction Doors has announced the recruitment of two new staff members in a move showcasing their commitment to investment in quality and customer service. Dean Hempshall joins as Quality Health and Safety and Engineering (QHSE) Manager while Przemyslaw Dojlidko, or Joe, steps into an Electrical Maintenance Engineer role. Dean, who moved to Distinction from Howdens Joinery in March, will be tasked with improving the company’s reputation for quality and service by monitoring non- conformance reports and implementing measures to eradicate issues in the production process or supply chain. His responsibilities will also include the control of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure that Distinction’s machinery is operating at suitable quality levels. Joe started in February and forms part of Dean’s team. Inaugural in the newly created role, Joe will manage a schedule of upgrades and replacements, which ensures compliance with industry regulation is upheld, and by having a human resource dedicated to fault diagnostics and performance monitoring of equipment, the overall output of the factory will increase. www.distinctiondoors.co.uk KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER ‘OUT IN THE FIELD’ » » YALE DOOR AND WINDOW Solutions has strengthened its team by appointing Alastair Wheeler as a Key Account Manager. Alastair will be developing relationships with system houses, key fabricators and national key accounts, focusing on the development of aluminium in a number of areas. Alastair comments: “This position will allow me to get back to what I enjoy the most – being out in the field and speaking directly to customers on a day to day basis. Yale is known for its high standards, both for quality and certification – my goal is to exceed these expectations and deliver the best possible service I can for my customers.” During his 35 years in the industry, Alastair worked for Siegenia Group, before going on to work for Caldwell Hardware in a variety of senior managerial roles. One of Alastair’s most successful achievements stemmed from receiving an enquiry about acoustic air ventilation units. Alastair realised that these could be what was missing from sound reduction schemes across the country.
