The collection was organised by IronmongeryDirect’s WOW Forum, a group of employees who organise regular charity initiatives for the company. In total over 500 items weighing 229kg were donated by employees, including non-perishable food items, toiletries and baby products. David Saxby, Product Manager at IronmongeryDirect and WOW forum chairman, said: “Foodbanks across the UK are desperately in need of more supplies so we were delighted to support our local Trussell Trust foodbank, which does amazing work to help and support people in our community who find themselves in very difficult circumstances.
