FIRST SYSTEMS COMPANY COMMITS
TO ACOUSTIC TESTING PROGRAMME
» » DECEUNINCK IS THE FIRST
window systems company in the UK to
commit to systematic acoustic testing of its
full product range.
The testing, which is being run in
partnership with Bluesky Certification and
the University of Salford will help Deceuninck
fabricators and installers provide solutions to
homeowners affected by high levels of external
noise.
Rob McGlennon, MD at Deceuninck, says:
“Noise is now a major irritant and harmful
factor in our lives but with the right tools and
technical information the window industry
can reduce noise, and improve the quality of
people’s lives in a very big way. That’s why
Deceuninck has been investing in what we’re
told is the first systematic acoustic testing by a
systems company of its full range. Deceuninck
has already completed testing of our 2500 and
2800 casement; 2500 and 2800 Tilt & Turn;
5000 Tilt & Turn; and FRW Fully Reversible
Window. Certified acoustic data testing of the
rest of our range is underway.”

Caldwell has unveiled a set of

ahead. Sales Director Tim Ferkin
explains: “Not many businesses
reach 50 years, let alone 130, and
when you do, you can’t help but

from, and where you want to go
next. What kind of business do we
want to be in another 10, 50, 130
years’ time?
“That’s why we decided to go
back to basics – to drill down and
find the fundamental values that
have got us this far and want to
strengthen in the future.”
The result was eight core
values:
1. Integrity: “We are
ethically unyielding. Trust is
foundational.”
2. “Safety of our team is never
jeopardised for any reason.”
3. Collaboration: “We
achieve uncommon results
by working on common
goals.”
4. “We hold ourselves
accountable to proactively
see, own and solve
problems.”
5. “Humility protects us from
the arrogance of success.”
6. Passion: “We are committed
in heart and mind.”
7. Innovation: “We challenge
the norm and embrace
change.”
