I speak to many companies within
the building and fenestration
industry and it always pleases me
to learn that the uncertainties
we experience from the last
recession and the recent elections
of a new Government, appear to
be dwindling in to the distance.
»»We have many entrepreneurs still
out there and after riding the storm of the last recession it’s
good to see that investment is again taking place into new
and existing businesses across the industry.
One such like company is ColouredPlas, a colour paint
and spraying company, based in Bury and set up twelve
months ago. Allan Moores, managing director discussed
with me the innovative ideas he has about promoting his
business in a way which offers fabricators and installers
more than just painting and spraying services and will help
his business grow nationally (read more on page 56).
I was cordially invited to the GGF member’s day at the
Glazier Building, Tower Bridge, London last month, to take
part in the trade organisations morning presentations and
a press conference. After greeting a few familiar industry
faces, it was refreshing to see some of the new initiatives
taking place within the organisation.
The GGF has in recent months, set about bringing
onboard industry guru’s to help advise and facilitate
marketing and operational steering groups. I have to say that
this is showing due diligence and during the presentation
the GGF launched one of its new marketing initiatives - a
new consumer website – MyGlazing.com.
The site will hopefully offer consumers further wealth
and understanding of the fenestration industry and give
them the opportunity to make constructive decisions on
the products and services they decide to use.
Myglazing.com went live on 2nd September – go see for
yourselves what you think to the benefit the site may or
may not offer your company and feel free to write into me
if you would like to share your comments.
Have a great month
