RAISING RECRUITMENT STANDARDS
»»Chase Taylor has
quickly become the recruitment
company of choice in the glazing
and fenestration industries;
something it believes is primarily
down to the professional way
in which it works through The
Recruitment and Employment
Confederation (REC) and its ability
to effectively place candidates.
Chase Taylor remains the only
recruitment company in the glazing
and fenestration industries that’s a
member of the REC and operates
to its detailed code of professional
practice. The REC represents
3,349 corporate members who
have branches across all regions of
the UK and above all, it’s wholly
committed to raising standards and
highlighting excellence throughout
the recruitment industry. According
to research by the REC, 630,000
people were helped to find a
permanent job during the period
2013/2014, which represents
9% of the recruitment value at
£2.7bn.
Mat Gibson, managing director
of Chase Taylor, comments:
“It’s important that we raise
the standards for recruitment
in the glazing and fenestration
industries. Things are on the
up and companies need the reassurance that they are dealing
with a recruitment professional, it
can save clients time and money
as week seek to find the perfect
candidate each time.”

Donating To A
Worthy Cause
As Saint Gobain celebrates its 350th
Anniversary this year, the company
has developed a monthly prize draw
for customers. Names will be picked
at random throughout the year,
where either a bronze, silver or gold
ticket will be won and exchanged
for a cash donation to charity.
»»In February, TuffX
Processed Glass won one of the
Silver Tickets which entitled
them to donate £100 to a
charity of choice.
One of the main reasons the
TuffX team opted to donate
its prize winning money to the
MND Association, was due to
an employee at the company
having recently been diagnosed
with the condition.
Graham Price, Managing
Director TuffX Processed
Glass comments, “The MND
Association relies almost entirely
on donations in order to
continue its research for a cure
to the debilitating and cruel
disease.
This year the Association
is holding a ‘Jump Fest’ on
21st June as part of a Global
Awareness Day and we wanted
to give them our support for
such a worthy cause and such
great work.”

Prefix Systems celebrate an unprecedented triple win.
Three strikes at
The Red Rose Awards
»»Prefix Systems has
become the first company ever
in the history of the prestigious
Red Rose Awards for Lancashire
businesses, to win in three
separate categories.
The conservatory and extended
living space specialists won
Construction Business of the Year,
Manufacturing Business of the
Year and Medium Business of the
Year categories.
Prefix Systems has in recent
years evolved from a conservatory
roofing specialist into a broader
role, helping to redefine the
market for extended living.
This includes their proven tiled
GardenRoom solution, which has
truly captured the imagination of
their customer base.
The Red Rose Awards was
held on the 12th March 2015
at the Empress Ballroom at
Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
The Awards is an achiever in
itself, having been named the
best B2B awards event of 2014
at the PPA Connect Awards.
Chris Baron, co-director of
Prefix Systems, commented:
“We’re quite staggered to
receive three awards, the first
time ever in the history of the
Awards. This is a true reflection
on all the hard effort everyone
involved in Prefix has put into
the business.”
