#COMEALONG CAMPAIGN FUELS SHOW SUCCESS
» » BOASTED BY THE AWARD FOR BEST
Creative in the FIT 2019 marketing
campaign with their #ComeAlong
campaign, the FIT Show was nothing
short of an extraordinary success for
KÖMMERLING.
The flush variant of KÖMMERLING 76
was one of the focal points on the stand
with several fabricators now tooled up
for production, while the lift and slide
PremiDoor 76 in the proCoverTec metallic
finish of bronze, was also a notable feature.
Other door systems were also presented
in the form of the slide, swing and fold
PremiDoor 76 and the PAS 24 PremiLine
Pro, with a new pop out handle at the
interlock.
Gareth Jones, managing director of
profine UK and the KÖMMERLING brand
commented: “The stand was the culmination
of the campaign that reflects a new beginning
for KÖMMERLING in the UK with a new team
at the helm. We’ve started the process to
elevate the brand and its values, but now with
a considerable number of enquiries, we will
look to capitalise on these opportunities in
the coming weeks and months after what was
nothing short of an exceptional show for us.”

FLYING THE FLAG FOR DIVERSITY AT FIT
» » HOWARD TROTTER,
Business Manager of
Birmingham window and door
manufacturer Shelforce, was
among a stellar line-up of
experts invited to speak at this
year’s FIT Show. Visitors to the
Insight Theatre were inspired as
Howard spoke about how the
Shelforce team creates high-
quality and competitive products
through maximising their unique
and diverse talents.
Shelforce has been providing
employment for disabled
workers since 1839 and the
company is leading the way
in inclusive employment with
75% of its workforce currently
disabled. Indeed, in the last four
years, Shelforce has managed to
triple its turnover and went from
an operating loss of £1.8million
to now making a profit.
“We’ve benefitted hugely
from the in-built resilience of
disabled workers,” explained
Howard.
“They overcome bigger
obstacles every day than
many of us will face in a
year – and that means
they’ve got a toughness
and a determination that’ll
see them through any
business or production issue
in the workplace. One of
our aims is to encourage
other businesses to adopt
our inclusive employment
approach; the FIT Show
provided the perfect platform
to get that message out.”
