FIT SHOW 2017 HUGE INTEREST FOR NEW RANGES Hardware specialist VBH report that their third visit to FiT Show was the best yet. » » The company focused almost entirely on products from its ever expanding greenteQ range. PAS24 versions of Clearspan aluminium bi-fold door hardware and the Invisifold Slide & Fold system both received much attention, as did the outward opening casement and tilt & turn window versions of Invisifold. VBH’s new Q-secure multi-brand guarantee was unveiled and many fabricators signed up to the scheme. Q-secure guarantees against forced entry for 10 years after installation, and is the only scheme on the market which covers all the relevant hardware on a door or window, from a variety of brands. VBH were a little surprised themselves at the star of their show; the patented greenteQ SecuriFold door handle for multipoint lock applications. SecuriFold handles are designed to fold flat in the vertical position when not in use, popping up into the ‘normal’ 90° position only when the door is being operated. Peter Rowlands, MD of VBH (GB), says, “As a mark of our confidence we’re going bigger in 2019 and have reserved a stand 75% larger than this year’s.” www.vbhgb.com RECORD NUMBER OF ENQUIRIES » » The recent FIT Show was the biggest ever for Atlas Glazed Roof Solutions, with the Atlas team picking up a record number of enquiries for the industry’s finest looking collection of glazed roof products. The star attraction was the Atlas Flat Rooflight which featured a novel video of the Atlas family inside it to capture visitors’ attention. Scores of show-goers were drawn to the sleek, minimalistic design of the rooflight, which brings ultimate performance and maximum light to deliver ‘MORE SKY, LESS ROOF’. Two Atlas lanterns stood prominently on the edges of the Atlas stand - the biggest stand that Atlas has ever taken at the FIT Show. Atlas also unveiled its ingenious ‘Skyroom Lean-To’, the only product of its kind at the show. Visitors were clearly impressed with its slim-line 40mm wide internal ridge and rafters, which maximise the amount of glazing within the roof. Claire Miller, marketing manager at Atlas Glazed Roof Solutions, said: “This was an absolutely incredible show for Atlas. We set the bar very high at the show and we’re now following up a record volume of leads.” www.atlasroofsolutions.co.uk SCIENCE OF WARM EDGE SHOWCASED » » Spacer bar manufacturer Edgetech, a Quanex company, took visitors back to the classroom as they showcased the ‘science of warm edge’ at the FIT Show 2017.
