£ 1.4 MILLION MACHINERY SPEND

EMPLAS HAS TAKEN RECEIPT OF A second Schirmer machining and cutting centre delivered as part of the G-Award winning fabricator ’ s continuous investment programme in product quality and service .
Automating profile cutting and machining , the Schirmer uses advanced profile scanning technology to introduce ultra-precision accuracy to positioning of cuts and routs to within 0.3mm .
It also means Emplas can convert a 6m bar length into a fully prepped frame within seconds , massively increasing production capacity , reducing manufacturing times and allowing it to deliver a more flexible service to its customers .
Delivered in October , the Schirmer comes as part of a £ 1.4million spend by Emplas on new machinery . This includes the purchase of a new Rotox eight-head welding and cleaning line , giving Emplas two fully automated lines .
It ’ s also invested in a new Rotox high speed sash cleaner , increasing sash output by more than 20 % and a Rotox five-head inline welder . This is in addition to three five-head welders and one four-head welder that Emplas already has in operation .
Emplas has also invested in a second Rotox crucifix welder and two new Rotox bead lines .

campaign was created and implemented by full-service marketing agency , Purplex .
Since January 2017 , Purplex has managed SEH BAC ’ s online marketing , PR and social media , raising the company ’ s profile in both local and industry sectors . Campaigns throughout the year included a £ 10,000 community giveaway , the opening of SEH ’ s Centre of Excellence – an event attended by TV presenter Dom Littlewood – and a new ‘ buy now pay later ’ scheme .
The agency ’ s online team also carried out an overhaul of SEH BAC ’ s website and implemented a powerful online lead generation strategy , delivering over 600 retail leads per month .
As well as winning Promotional Campaign of the Year ( Retail ), SEH BAC also won the Installer of the Year category at this year ’ s G17 awards and managing director , John Savage , has commented on his business ’ success and new partnership with Purplex :

GM FUNDRAISING IS absolutely delighted to announce the final Paddle2Pedal fundraising total of £ 108,494 . The figure was announced at the prestigious G Awards in November .
The inaugural ‘ Girls Only ’ event , completed over seven days in August this year by 12 ladies from the fenestration industry , saw them canoe 100 miles of the River Wye , abseil 135ft down Symonds Yat and cycle 120 miles to Hope House in Oswestry .
“ This fantastic total is a true reflection of the team ’ s sheer grit and determination shown throughout , not just in the challenge itself , but in training and fundraising efforts too ,” says Gary Morton , chairman of GM Fundraising . “ This was the first all-female challenge GM Fundraising has ever organised and the 12-strong team certainly gave the boys a run for their money , myself included . Over the 20 years of GM Fundraising , and with all the events we have
organised , you develop certain expectations of an inaugural event but the girls smashed it in every way . The camaraderie and team ethic were so strong ; each and
every member dug deep , pulled through and supported each other to do the same .”
