For over a decade, Glazpart’ s overarching strategy is to make work easier for window and door manufacturers with new innovative products and components that are compliant, practical and aesthetically pleasing.
Aligned with their standard product ranges of trickle vents and glazing accessories Glazpart also makes bespoke products that providing unique solutions. Their bespoke manufacturing goes through Glazpart’ s professional technical process from concept to development to 3D prototyping, tooling( and tool transfer) to design for manufacture, production and precision printing / colour finishing through to assembly and distribution.
Dean Bradley, Glazpart Sales Director- Fenestration, explains,“ One of the reasons we started Glazpartners was to encourage collaboration with customers to identify and deliver product solutions. This approach has worked well and when customers visit our factory we regularly hear comments like“ we didn’ t know you had all this” and“ we never knew you could do that”. Glazpart’ s facilities, capacity and expertise to bring practically any plastic injected moulded product to the market, can often surprise.”
Two new products that have attracted interest are the Bi-Fold Vent and the Aluvent- both specifically manufactured for the aluminium market.
The Bi-Fold Vent
The Bi-Fold Vent has proved a welcome introduction to the growing aluminium bi-fold door market.
Moulded from high quality virgin ASA ensuring heat and colour stability, the Bifold Vent’ s unique low-profile design allows both the internal vent and louvered grille to sit between the open concertinaed door leaves.
The vent is designed for compliance to the building regulations and sits in a 16mm rout and in many cases, can be installed directly into the door leaf, removing the need for a“ knock on” or extended profile which can interfere with the plaster line and impact sightlines as profiles become slimmer.
The internal closure plates of the Bi-Fold Door Vent clip onto a uniquely designed low profile chassis which in turn clips within the aluminium profile, so only the height of the lids protrude from the profile. The chassis is supplied in either white or black dependant on the colour of the patented closure plates with their innovative vertical closure plates.
The external section has a new louvered design, to give the minimum amount of protrusion from the face of the profile. The louvered fly screen sits beneath the reveal giving additional protection from the elements.
Initially available in White, Black and Anthracite Grey in standard sets( internal vent has colour on colour or colour on white options), bespoke and matching colours will be manufactured for increased choice.
The AluVent
Glazpart continued to focus on the aluminium sector with the recent launch of the AluVent – a new range of trickle ventilators designed to meet the needs of today’ s market growth in aluminium fenestration.
The AluVent’ s versatile sleek design allows it to be frame or sash mounted, where its low profile sits seamlessly and unobtrusively on the window or door, making it aesthetically pleasing.
Made from low carbon aluminium, the AluVent extrusions are produced using partially recycled billet which is certified and fully traceable with up to 25 % recycled aluminium content.
On the inside of its closure plate the AluVent has a fitted foam strip which reduces cold spots, helps seal the rout and helps reduce noise when in the closed position. The vent is designed to be fitted on either a 13mm or 10mm rout height.
Available in three sizes, the AluVent’ s performance will meet the background ventilation room rates( EQA) as defined in building regulations( Approved Document F – means of ventilation).
The AluVent’ s profile end caps clip into the grille, locking it in position. Designed to be screw fixed into both UPVC and Aluminium( profiles or sashes), the AluVent has full installation instructions available on the Glazpart website.
With aesthetics in mind, the AluVent is powder coated aluminium with RAL colour matched end caps as well as traditional black and white, which are fitted easily in place without the need for any tools. There is also an unassembled mill finish option so you can powder coat your own specific colour.
