Targeting Scotland with energy efficient sealing solutions
» WINDOW AND DOOR FOAM sealant tapes specialist ISO-Chemie will be displaying its airtightness, thermal and acoustic sealing solutions at BE-ST Summits across Scotland this autumn.
A key feature at the events in Dumfries, Inverness and Glasgow will be ISO-TOP WINFRAMER, a structurally solid, pre-fabricated installation frame manufactured in a range of variations and sizes. This enables it to be cut quickly to length on site and secured in position using a single component adhesive and, if necessary, fixing screws.
Also showing will be multi-purpose foam tape ISO-BLOCO ONE, which provides effective and rapid sealing of windows from inside the building during construction, avoiding the need to use time consuming and costly external access systems. This can deliver cost savings of up to 70 % when compared to traditional three component systems.
ISO-CHEMIE’ s presence at BE-ST comes as the firm, one of Europe’ s leading suppliers of foam sealant solutions, sees building regulations getting tougher, with issues around airtightness and thermal loss around windows being policed more rigorously with the forthcoming Future Homes Standard coming into force next year.
Andy Swift, sales and operations manager, UK & ROI at ISO-CHEMIE, said the products offer controlled, non-weather dependent construction and rapid installation benefits.
He added:“ We will be looking to engage in conversations with summit visitors about the future of the built environment and working to help shape the debate and priorities around effective sealing solutions for windows and doors.
“ Our products can improve thermal loss and sound reduction and our presence at these events comes amid growing acceptance of sealant products, which are increasingly being specified for use across the building and construction spectrum.”

From Italian vineyards to Irish coasts: the international success of colour membranes
» RENOLIT ALKORPLAN ROOFING products is highlighting the exceptional performance and aesthetic flexibility of its Colour range through two recently completed projects in Italy and Ireland. These case histories serve as a powerful testament to the product’ s ability to meet diverse architectural demands, from the long-term preservation of a historic winery to modern design expressions in challenging climates.
Time-tested performance: Poderi dal Nespoli chooses a proven waterproofing solution
The main building of Poderi dal Nespoli, a historic winery situated in the Romagna region and now part of the Argea SPA project, offers a compelling demonstration of long-term performance and colour stability. The RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Colour membrane in Copper Green shade was originally selected as the waterproofing solution for the winery’ s roof. 14 years later, the exact same product in the identical shade was chosen for a new building constructed right next to the original one. Standing side by side, the two roofs showcase seamless visual harmony, providing the best proof of the solution’ s durability and colour retention over time.
Weathering the Irish coast with the classic Copper Green design in Kerry
A recent installation in County Kerry, Ireland, demonstrates how a roof can go beyond simple protection to become a central element of architectural expression and sustainable design. The project, situated in a region known for its challenging coastal climate, demanded a solution that could deliver both outstanding durability and aesthetic impact.
To achieve this, the project team selected the classic RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Colour membrane in the Copper Green shade, combining it with a matching L-profile( Design profile) to successfully emulate the traditional look of a metal standing-seam roof. This lightweight, synthetic alternative provides excellent wind and weather resistance while maintaining a striking visual style.
