APECS returned to FIT with
our partner tedee, showcasing
the tedee smart lock alongside
our acclaimed 3-star AP
cylinder; and the response
exceeded expectations. We
had valuable conversations
with both new and existing

customers, including distributors, fabricators and installers, many of whom were exploring ways to expand their security offering.
There was a noticeable shift in focus. As smart technology continues to grow in popularity, many visitors spoke about the increasing interest they’ re seeing further down the supply chain; particularly among elderly customers, affluent buyers, and those investing in holiday lets. Increasing numbers of consumers are looking for convenience, accessibility, smart integration, and seamless control, and tedee delivers that in a way that’ s simple to install and easy to explain.
The launch of the new tedee KeyPad Pro, with fingerprint access, and the tedee Door Sensor gave fabricators a

glimpse into an ever-growing product range, sparking conversations about real-world applications.
But the show wasn’ t just about smart locks. We also teased the upcoming launch of our new 3-star cylinders; currently undergoing rigorous testing to beat the latest freeze attack methods outlined in TS 007:2024-1.
We demonstrated how we’ ve taken our time to develop a solution that not only retains the features that made the AP such a standout product, like modularity, but also improves on it with enhanced attack resistance and non-handedness. It’ s part of our commitment to innovation without compromise.
