Quickslide’ s top performing customers are achieving an average 62 % increase in sales. The secret to that success, says sales director Tom Swallow, is a combination of quality products, backed by comprehensive marketing support.

Billed as the‘ ultimate sales tool’, Quickslide’ s recently launched presentation case, designed specifically to help installers showcase the market leading Legacy VS to homeowner customers, is the latest initiative from the Brighouse manufacture to maximise sales opportunities for its trade partners.
Against a backdrop of a broader home improvement market for replacement windows and doors that remains static at best for many businesses, Quickslide’ s‘ top 25’ are currently bucking the trend with an average 62 % increase in sales.
“ It’ s certainly not easy out there, homeowners are more cautious and that’ s reflected in a long period of challenging trading conditions for the industry as a whole, but the opportunities for sales and growth are there,” says Tom Swallow, sales director at Quickslide.
“ Of course it’ s about having the best products, and with Legacy, our trade partners are equipped with what we believe is now the most authentic PVC vertical slider on the market.
“ It offers outstanding performance, combined with full mechanical timber look joints, plus run through sash horns, sleek slim mid rail, a deep bottom rail, flush gaskets and of course a comprehensive range of colours and foils.
“ It looks sensational,” continues Tom,“ but we’ ve also worked very hard to broaden its appeal beyond traditional, niche, applications and into a wider audience, allowing our trade partners to move away from a flat, price driven market into one that’ s driven by higher quality products and healthier margins.”
Quickslide’ s Legacy presentation case, which can be personalised with a screen-printed logo, helps to do just that. Light and manoeuvrable, it can be easily transported and in addition to the 600mm x 900mm Legacy sample window, it also contains brochures, foil swatches, glass samples and other point of sale materials.
While this delivers a‘ wow’ factor, Tom adds that Quickslide’ s support is also particularly valuable for projects that may be subject to tricky heritage and conservation requirements, and also highlights the fabricator’ s online‘ Requirements Calculator’, developed to take the stress out of understanding any particular regulations-driven. This includes working out energy ratings, PAS24 compliance and trickle vents, if there is a need for a fire escape or whether protection from falling needs to be considered.
“ The Legacy was originally designed to target period properties, so we need to give our customers all the tools they need to succeed in that, while also pursuing other prospects at the higher end of the market,” says Tom.“ And if that leads to additional, upselling opportunities for other complementary products, such as our aluminium Quick-Glide slide and fold door, then we all benefit.”
Pitched as a hybrid solution between bi-folds and sliding doors, Quick-Glide is unique in that it features individual sliding and folding panels, that can be fully stacked for an unobstructed opening or positioned in a partially opened configuration.
As with the Legacy VS, Quickslide has developed a raft of marketing support, including in-depth product training, and the introduction of the Quick-Glide On-Screen product configurator.
This is designed to be integrated seamlessly into trade partner websites and includes a lead generation and CRM system upgrade.
“ Quick-Glide is a new product, and different from anything else on the market so while we’ ve worked very hard on the R & D process, we knew it was vital to underpin that work with thorough marketing support,” continues Tom.“ It’ s quickly proved to be a hit, and we now have over 50 customers who have brought it into their product portfolios.
