» I JOINED GLAZERITE IN 2021 and later became part of the management buyout team alongside Group MD , Rob Brearley and our other Directors . During that time , we ’ ve led a transformation of the business , enhancing our operations and business procedures across every site .
Our North West Division is situated in Bolton , where we focus on the fabrication of VEKA products for both commercial and residential-focused installers based across the UK .
In 2020 the site put the finishing touches on major expansion , which saw the facilities double in size . The welcome addition of a showroom gave us the ability to showcase our extensive portfolio to both our customers and the general public , as well as provide a useful space for our suppliers to visit and for Glazerite to carry out employee training . We ’ ve also just opened a training centre here for our employees as well as those installers interested in technical advice and learning more about how best to install our products .
Our most recent set of investments , announced earlier this year , has meant we ’ ve been able to increase capacity and further improve on both our capability and quality for the benefit of our customers . With the addition of new machinery , we ’ re able to meet the needs of our customers now and in the future .

The new Stuga ZX5S sawing and machining centre is now up and running and will increase our cutting capacity by approximately 30 %.
We will also be adding a new double head mitre saw in the summer . Like the rest of our machinery , we work to a fully documented Preventative Maintenance programme to maintain productivity and reduce the impact of downtime on our customers .
Alongside investment , our 70-strong Bolton-based workforce is continuing with our 5S training plan to make our operations leaner and more efficient than ever . Continuous improvement is a key area we continue to drive across the Group ; we ’ re passionate about getting it right first time and delivering quality products for our installers . We have daily reviews to discuss plans , production , orders , stock , issues and quality , and all of our staff are tasked with achieving targeted KPIs . We don ’ t stop at good ; we strive for

better every day to produce and deliver the very best we can for our installers .
One thing all of our employees love to do is to share best practice . It ’ s an approach we pursue Group-wide and with our installers . One programme we ’ re all especially passionate about is the reduction of waste and the recycling of uPVC , and we ’ ve partnered with VEKA to embed this .
We have a real family ethic at Bolton , and we ’ re looking forward to welcoming both customers and our employees ’ families to the site in the summer to enjoy a special

open day complete with a barbecue and a bouncy castle laid on for the children . It will be a great opportunity for our teams to meet and share ideas with installers and show their families where the hard work takes place .
