168 FLUSH CASEMENT WINDOWS INSTALLED FOR HIGH-END LONDON APARTMENT BLOCK
» EXPERIENCED STELLAR FABRICAtor and installer Capital Windows has just completed the manufacture and installation of 168 Stellar Flush Casement Windows as part of a complete commercial refurbishment of a prestigious private apartment block in a sought-after area of North London ’ s NW2 .
The original windows of the red-brick apartment block had lost their aesthetic appeal and were poorly insulated . Stellar from Epwin Window Systems was selected to replace the windows because of the system ’ s high-end aesthetics and , more importantly , its ability to achieve the thermal requirements of Part L with standard double-glazed units .
The windows were manufactured in Anthracite Grey on both sides to give the building an updated aesthetic and sophisticated appeal . The project took 12 weeks from start to finish and has completely transformed the building ’ s appearance and thermal efficiency .

The multi-award-winning Stellar from Epwin Window Systems was predominantly designed for the domestic market , but since the changes to Part L of Building Regulations last year , it has been rapidly gaining traction across commercial projects . This is because the system features the patented reverse butt joint , which means no dummy sashes or reverse
adaptor profiles are needed . This makes it thermally efficient by design and means it can achieve the requirements of Part L in double glazed versions without the need for complicated workarounds that add extra time and cost .
Peter concluded : “ Stellar has always been a very easy system to sell into the domestic market because of its outstanding aesthetics . The innovation in the design means it is now an easy system to sell into the commercial sector too .”
