We have masterblend (great), prochem (great), white magic (problems after problems). Thinking about getting either another Masterblend HE version or Butler. Comments Olin Vanek Hydramaster boxxer 421. Small, strong, HOT, simple, ..now 3000 hours without any maojor maintenance. I bought second tm. I love it. Scott Segreti fuel burners are the best hydra master is junk Kevin Bates Masterblend EL Diablo. Its great having the most heat in my area except for my Steamway buddies! Dusty Linder Prochem Peak Great machine. some overheat problems on big floods with hot temps outside. Other then that great machine Frankie Rodriguez Jr. Hydramaster Boxxer 421 & Hydramaster Hydravan CDS. CDS is fairly bullet proof. Not much to go wrong. Have to compensate more chemical & dwell time though since the heat only gets at hot as your engine thermostat allows whereas the exhaust style heat exchangers on a slide in like the 421 create much hotter heat Frankie Rodriguez Jr. Butler & White Magic are basically the same exact machine from what I’v been told by techs, so if u don’t like one I wouldn’t get the other Frankie Rodriguez Jr. I cut my teeth in this industry originally with the Prochem 18 Performer 405. Great heat, powerful, but a lot of maintenance & lots of things to go wrong. Had to basically learn how to work on it & learn all the little quirks. Other than that it was fantastic & a great machine to learn on. Jason Greer Currently running a HM 4.8 cds... have a Inferno 3047 due for shipping in the next week or so Scott Segreti direct drives have no heat butlers are really crap Mario DiGiovanni Frankie, if you have the salsa heater option on the CDS you will have all the heat you need Joe Patz Pro legend love that machine. One day I will move up to the big boys Frankie Rodriguez Jr. Mario, I’ll look into that. I heard if your CDS didn’t come with the external heat exchanger it’s quite a chore to rig one up but I haven’t looked into it myself yet. I’d love to make my CDS produce more heat Want More?
