Spiking encap juice with grout master By Jtsunbrite I have a building with a porch 10 floors up,, its more of a patio, they repaired the area with tar,, so after a long Texas summer with our heat, it has been tracked down the long hallway, into every condo on said floor, even into the elevator and out the other entrances on other floors,, down 6 flights of stairs... I believe it will be faster to encap then hwe and post bonnet, it has to be perfect when im done. Im charging a small fortune plus it gets me in the door with all the other 300 homeowners in the building. Have yall spiked encap juice with groutmaster,,, when I was talking, walking, selling the job, I had a squirt bottle with encap straight/ restoration degreaser/ d’limolene mixed and a towel and I was squirting and scrubbing a few bad areas and it took it off... So have you mixed it because I think im gonna need something strong to get this tar off ? Any thoughts? Comments Billy Schoch - Im going to guess there would be a residue issue eventually. Hard to say whether it would come back to haunt you. Maybe a good alternative would be to use the mixture you described, pad as much out as you can, then use straight encap chems for another round of bonnet cleaning. Alternatively, you could spray everything with a spot preventative at the end. Not sure how practical that would be though.  Jtsunbrite - im going to bring the nautilus extreme to extract it after I scrub it with encap Scott W - Look at the pH of your encap product. Groutmaster is rather high pH. Changing the pH level of an encap product can affecte the way the polymers cure. If the change in pH is a big one, it may leave the floor tacky instead of a non-sticky residue. 29
