FLIRTATIOUS CLIENTS
continued
tape and then the internet. Enter today,
pornography has mushroomed into a
juggernaut. It is big business. How big? It
has more revenue than Microsoft, Google,
Amazon, Ebay, Yahoo, Apple and Netflix
combined! Think it hasn’t distorted men’s
views? Think again. If you say that not
every male is affected
by this, consider this recent study put
together
by
10
the University of Montreal in Canada.
They wanted to study the effects of porn
on men who viewed it versus those who
did not. Guess what? They had to scrap the
study. Why, you ask? Well, because they
couldn’t find any men who had not viewed
it. So where am I going with all of this?
I’m not trying to tell you what is right
and wrong for you. That’s your personal
life. What I am telling you, is that as a
businessperson, the proper course of action
during a flirtatious situation is paramount.
By handling yourself incorrectly, the
situation can potentially lead to divorce,
lawsuits, rape accusations and other bad
consequences that can ruin your business
and life in a heartbeat. For owner operators
or technicians working alone, dicey or
compromising situations can arise quickly.
It is your responsibility as a professional
to know how to handle yourself properly.
Why? Simply put, because it is not a
matter of if it will happen to you but rather
a matter of when, in many areas of the
country. That’s ok. It’s not the situation
as much as it is how you will handle it.
What will you do in that type of situation?
What are some of the signs? How can you
prevent it? How can you stop a situation
from going bad to worse?
