Solar City
Developed by X-Architects , Xeritown was imagined to provide housing
for 7000 people in the desert of Dubai.
The main idea is to use the natural environment as a source of energy with
solar panel and roof top turbines in order to produce a city 100% green
with energy conservation and low carbon emissions. It was designed to be
a extension of Dubai towards the inland desert, also described as a urban
complex that will utilize the natural environment as an asset to produce
energy and maximize energy efficiency with cutting edge technology.
This approach was designed to create a sustainable city dedicated to
pedestrians , and limit transport vehicules to avoid any use of oil or fuel
to form a sane environment. Ecological quality contributes to produce a
rich biodiversity where infrastructure, architecture and landscape was
supposed to be balanced in order to create a luxurious environment.
Finally, all these ideas to create or design cities that rely
only on clean energy could be a optimistic sign that we
wish to evolve and reduce our consumption of carbon.

There’s a real wish to decarbonize every society in order to transform our
way to consume : we tend to have a role in this energy transition, we could
adapt ourselves to various environment which can be a solution nevertheless
we could aslo understand that global investment in infrastructure or
renewable energy is a necessity to sustain growth, and form a virtuous
circle that will allow us to move forward in terms of energy transition.
