TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM
Location : Sonia Gutierrez Campus
Time : Morning ( Monday - Friday : 9:00 am - 11:30 am ) Evening ( Monday - Thursday : 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm )
The IT Fundamentals class is a 5-month program , 200 hours of classroom instruction along with virtual simulation and hands-on practice , prepares students to become CompTIA IT Fundamentals , entry level certification in Information Technology ( IT ) Students learn the fundamentals of computing networks , operating systems , hardware , security , software development and database concepts , cloud computing and virtualization . Students will also be introduced to IT professionals , a variety of employability skills , and potential IT pathways .
Requirements : Eligible for ESL 8 ( high intermediate or higher ). High school diploma or equivalent . Successful passing of the Northstar MS Word Module assessment with 70 % or higher . Advising session .
Certification Earned CompTIA IT fundamentals Certification ( ITF +)
