ClairCity
Conference
We are saddened to announce the
dissolution of our project partner,
the Regional Environmental Center
(REC).
REC was set up in 1990 by the
United States, the European
Commission and Hungary. It went
on to develop a charter with over
30 signatories. However,
in Spring 2019 the
signatory organisations
decided to close the
inter-governmental
organisation.
REC has been an important partner
in ClairCity, leading the work
package on
engagement,
developing our
school activities,
mutual learning
workshops and
city days plans.
REC also
supported local
authorities in
Sosnowiec and
Ljubljana to
deliver on data
collection and a
range of public
facing activities.

Looking forward, work package
lead Eva Csobod will continue on
the project as a consultant via
Trinomics. Nadia Zeleznik will
continue to provide support to the
Ljubljana team, and Peter
Szuppinger will support the school
competition in the Aveiro Region
and Liguria.
We are saying goodbye to other
REC colleagues and we would like
to thank Gabor Heves, Jerome
Simpson and all other REC staff for
their fantastic work organising our
2017 conference and supporting
ClairCity throughout our first three
years. We wish them the best for
the future.

Showcasing our research findings with graphics and
information to share. Looking towards our final conference in Brussels,
taking place in Spring 2020.
