What do you hope for the future
of your city?
I want Bristol to develop into a city
designed around people rather than
cars. I hope we have a city where
public transport, walking and
cycling are the cheapest and most
convenient default transport options
for everyone in the city and
surrounding region.

What is your role in ClairCity? Where do you live?
I’m one of the links for ClairCity at
Bristol City Council. My role is
providing information and access to
people within the council and to
help shape and maximise the
impact of the ClairCity outcomes at
a local level. I live in Ljubljana, the capital city of
Slovenia.
What interests you in the
project?
The innovative approach to
engaging with citizens and policy
makers. I’m interested in attributing
pollution to daily activities that
people can relate to rather than
technology.

What is your role in ClairCity?
I am part of the Ljubljana municipal
authority team, sharing information
about our city with the ClairCity
modellers, implementing
engagement activities like the
surveys with citizens in Ljubljana.
My role is also to identify synergies
between different projects and
activities that we undertake, so that
we can maximise the benefit from
each project and get the most out
of collaborating on projects.
What do you hope for the future
of your city?
Ljubljana is a forward-thinking and
beautiful city. We are working at the
moment on neighbourhood
provision, especially of sports
facilities so that everyone can
access fitness and health - without
generating pollution or emissions.
We are also working hard on
re-foresting our urban area. Trees
can provide so many benefits to the
local environment as well as the
global climate, and this will be an
important improvement for our city
that will have benefits for years to
come.
