Civil Insight: A Technical Magazine Volume 2 | Page 10

CIVIL INSIGHT 2018 10 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Sujan Shrestha President, KUCEC BE in Civil Engineering, 4th year It provides me immense pleasure to write a few words for the second volume of the annual KUCEC magazine “Civil Insight: A Technical Magazine”. The fi rst volume launched just a year ago was acclaimed by professionals and scholars of different fi elds and I hope this volume will surpass those heights. I believe the magazine and the annual event Sankalpa has provided a great platform to showcase the knowledge and skills students have amassed over the years. Both the magazine and Sankalpa has been an essential medium for students to interact with community and promote various scopes of civil engineering. Initiatives taken by previous club members have provided us with this golden opportunity to explore ourselves beyond academic terrain and for that I will always be grateful. Strong determination, perseverance and team efforts of KUCEC members, Sankalpa team and Editorial Board have been the key factors for all our accomplishments. I hope these events will remain as the fundamental part of club activities and the quality of both magazine and events will reach greater heights in subsequent years. I would like to thank the editorial board members and the coordinators for their hard work and dedication to bring out the magazine in this commendable form. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the faculties, staffs and students of the department, contributors and the sponsors for their support in making this endeavor of ours come true.
