One noticeable decline was that of the timeliness of emergency medical services,
which declined from 91% in 2015 to 74% in 2016.
There were a few other areas of decline for city services, although the negative
shifts were not statistically significant. On the following measures, residents’
satisfaction ratings declined 4% to 7% from last year. These measures may deserve
additional attention in 2016 to determine if the decline is a continuing trend or a
slight fluctuation.
– Quality and timeliness of police service (‐4%)
– Water conservation efforts (‐4%)
– Efficiency in water line repair (‐4%)
– Dispatch service (911) (‐5%)
– Timeliness of fire department services (‐7%)
– Is committed to going green (‐7%)
– Speed in completing water/sewer construction (‐9%)
Decline in TV and newspaper as sources of city information – potentially signaling the need to
rely more on online/other.
Decline in electronic bill pay and convention center are ones watch to see if the trend
continues.
