TOP TEN CHRISTMAS FILMS:- 06/10/2015 11:28 Page 1 hOME ENTERTAINMENT... Top ten Christmas films! Nothing feels like Christmas more than snuggling up on the sofa, curtains drawn against the cold, snacks at the ready and a festive movie on the box. However, here at the Scene Magazine, we had quite a debate about which flick was the best! We eventually collated our Top Ten but did we manage to include yours? 10. THE HOLIDAY. Yes, it’s very girlie and, yes, it’s very cringe in parts, but the end scene in the quaint, snow covered cottage never fails to warm our hearts. 9. THE GRINCH. We couldn’t decide on the 1966 original or the more recent version but Jim Carey won. A little creepy but still full of festive cheer. 8. THE SANTA CLAUSE. Tim Allen fits this role perfectly and we love seeing the relationship with his son grow stronger and more magical throughout the film. 7. SANTA CLAUSE: THE MOVIE. Who doesn’t love Dudley Moore dressed as an elf! We love that this film helps to answer children’s questions about Santa and lets us reminisce about such an innocent time. 6. DIE HARD. Doesn’t look at all festive but it’s snowing, it’s Christmas and Bruce Willis is getting the better of terrorists, in a vest. Yippee ki-yay! 5. MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET. Even the most discerning adult could be slightly convinced by this film that Santa exists. Christmas really is on its way when this is on. 4. BRIDGET JONES’S DIARY. Such a relatable character and a feel-good film; turkey curry buffets should be obligatory on Boxing Day. 3. HOME ALONE. Of course this had to be in the top 3. A great soundtrack, lots of laughs and lessons to be learnt by all in this family favourite. 2. A MUPPET’S CHRISTMAS CAROL. After all there’s ۛHۙH[ܙH
