Panto season wouldn’t be the same without a few classic lines and there are sure to be plenty as this year’s panto production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs promises to be a performance like no other with new faces joining familiar faces on the stage at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place. This much loved fairy tale of evil and vanity in a battle with youth and innocent beauty sees a host of colourful characters brought to life as we discover what can go wrong with a bite of a poisonous apple. Will Snow White avoid the old lady offering an apple, or will we be relying on a true love’s kiss to seal our happy ever after ending? Well known actor Jeremy Edwards takes a starring role as the handsome Prince Edward, who is set to fall in love with the beautiful Snow White, played by Amy Reader. Ian Billings returns to the stage as Herman the henchman and Simon Howe plays the part that no pantomime is complete without...the dame! Audiences will be able to see this formidable cast on stage in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from 8 December 2015 to 3 January 2016. Tickets were snapped up last year so book early to avoid disappointment. In addition to the star-studded line-up, all the other fabulous pantomime ingredients audiences have come to expect will be in abundance, from the fairytale set and colourful costumes, to creative choreography, live music, and lots and lots of laughter. It promises be a spectacular pantomime which will be enjoyed by all. Edwards is probably best known for his roles in Hollyoaks and Holby City, but most recently younger viewers will recognise him from the hit CBBC show Millie Inbetween. Nicole Faraday of ITVs Bad Girls and Emmerdale stars as the evil Queen Grizelda, the stunning but jealous stepmother of Snow White.
