Are there Dietary Supplements for Brain Health
The Global Council on Brain Health, is an AARP funded
organization that is composed of a group of top neurologists,
nutritionists and researchers. This group states that more and
more adults in the U.S. ages 50+ spend between $20-$60 a
month on dietary supplements for brain health. How useful
are these dietary supplements? Are they safe and can they
interact with medicines that you are taking daily? Join us for a
presentation on “what the current science says” on this topic.
Afterwards, there will be one-on-one appointments available
for participants to review their medications with a pharmacist.

Osteoporosis: Let’s make no bones about it!
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) describes osteoporosis
as a disease that causes bones to become fragile leading to an
increase in the risk of fracture of the hip, spine and wrist. Both
women and men can be affected by osteoporosis and in the
United States more than 40 million people either already have
this condition or are at risk for developing it. This presentation
will cover the ways suggested by the NIH to detect, prevent
and to treat the disease. The discussion will also include the
range of medications physicians can use to help manage the
condition. Afterwards, there will be one on one appointment
available for participants to review their medications with a
pharmacist.
