Gastronomic Restaurant on
roof are faced on a terraced
area, where is possible to stay
tasting specialties and to relax
looking at the artificial lake full
of plants and flowers, typical of
France rural landscape.
The cascade greening is
one of the building theme,
it invades wooden structure
voids, both in façade and
inside the vaults; the inner
scenography is composed by
many elements, in apparent
contrast with each other but
harmonized by colors, mass
and message.
The impressive vault roof is
divided in different sections,
each with its own topic
sustaining gastronomic and
culinary French variety.
Another important element to
show is about project plants,
they are strictly organized
following the Expo Guide
Lines, which imposed to
the architects to provide the
lowest energy consumption,
waste recycling and
depuration. That’s will be the
first Expo totally sustainable
and reusable, without
excessive waste and careful
about CO2 impact mitigation.
A policy followed by France
using LED sources and a
transparent and breathable
membrane covering whole the
pavilion, to avoid excessive
heat loss. An assembly,
disassembly, reassembly and
sustainable architecture, those
are themes involved in every
Expo Milano 2015 pavilions.
At the end of the event, only
memories and the Italian
Pavilion remains as memento
of the most important event in
early XXI century.
