Urban VS.
Suburban
LIVING IN CALGARY WITH YOUNG CHILDREN
..........................................................
WRITTEN BY | CORINNE WATSON AND DIANDRA OLIVER
Calgary is widely recognized for our prosperous economy,
leading real estate market, vibrant culture, world-class
entertainment scene, and even for our Mayor Nenshi.
New York Times’ 52 Places To Go In 2014 included
Calgary - the only Canadian city on the list! We take
advantage of the abundance of parks and green space
within the city, as well as our very fortunate proximity to
some of Alberta’s most beautiful mountains and lakes!
Canada’s Best Places to Live 2014 by MoneySense.ca
placed Calgary 2nd overall out of 201 cities, with Calgary
coming in as the #1 large city and the 2nd best place
to raise kids!
Deciding to call Calgary home is easy! However, your
preference of area can change when you start a family
and many young couples and parents find themselves
asking the same question: Urban or Suburban?
Your family and friends are likely to suggest somewhere
close to them with natural bias to their neighbourhood and
wanting your family near. But no one can make these
decisions for you, so here are some objective perspectives!
