Debbie loves helping and watching girls grow and become independent leaders . As a Troop Leader , Debbie has personally seen young shy girls blossom into strong leaders . She herself was one of those extremely shy girls . One of her Girl Scouts is now traveling the world for her work and she posts about all the places she has visited and the history behind each place . She sometimes travels with coworkers and friends , but she has also gone to several countries by herself . Debbie notes that she was one of the Troop ’ s top sellers , selling well over 1000 boxes of cookies every year . It is Debbie ’ s belief that this young woman developed her strength , courage , independence , and leadership during her years as a Girl Scout .

Her advice to girls is to “ Go with your heart . Do what is best for you . Have fun and enjoy what you ’ re doing but step up to the challenges too .
