Debbie served as a Troop Leader , a Service Unit Cookie Chair , Service Unit Fall Product Chair and Service Unit Coordinator for her Service Unit . She began her leadership experience with a troop of 16 girls . Eventually six of those girls bridged to adults and became Lifetime Members along with her Troop Co-Leader . The troop was planning a trip to Europe , but the girls became busy during high school and instead the leaders used the earnings from Fall Product sales to purchase Lifetime Memberships for every girl . In addition , they purchased a brick for each girl at Camp Mah-Kah-Wee . The remaining funds were donated to one of the leaders in their Service Unit who needed a kidney transplant .
Debbie began working at Girl Scouts of Citrus Council in 1997 and has worked at Council for 24 years . She began as a part time Product Assistant , moved to Product Director , and worked her way up to Vice President of Products .
