The Ugly Truths
Martínez, Ma. del Carmen
the problem comes when an agreement cannot be reached because of the difference mentioned before: every country in the world has dissimilar social groups. When it comes to money, there is also a living condition behind it that can vary according to the daily income that the family receives. This income, though, is affected by the redistribution, manipulated by the taxes that are obligatorily paid.
Obviously, not everybody thinks it is alright to take money away from people who have earned it honestly by working. This is exactly what libertarianism* tries to point out: one should not be obliged to give away money for income distribution if is the product of hard work. The state forces people to, somehow, share what they have earned fairly and without caring if people actually want to pay or not. Libertarianism wants to maximize people's autonomy and freedom; they want every person to choose whether they want to pay or not, but that involves many changes that are not morally accepted or not considered to be a feasible change yet.
