The Ugly Truths
Martínez, Ma. del Carmen
The one hundred and seventy one days that haven`t shaken the world
It has been one hundred and seventy one days since 273 girls were abducted in Nigeria by a terrorist group called Boko Haram, an Islamic Jihadist organization .
The girls were taken from their school, and except for the ever looking families and friends, nobody seems to recall the outrageous attack. Why? The media has made sure to keep it this way, and to take the hope to be found away from the girls, by dropping the case and giving air time to things they thought were more important.
This is outrageous because except for Facebook that keeps faith up, nobody seems to remember.
"The brutality and frequency of these attacks is unprecedented," Adrian Edwards of the UN refugees agency said, related to the abduction of schoolgirls in the town of Chibok, Bourne State.
