monuments in its surroundings. The Pink House (Casa Rosada), the Argentine government headquarters is situated to the south and to the north, the old restored colonial Town Hall (Cabildo) is in the northern side. Go in search of a bit of history!
In Buenos Aires there is a programme called “Basura Cero”. It is about the separation of garbage into recyclable and non-recyclable things The reason for this is that the city dumps are overloaded with garbage. The rubbish can be thrown in two different containers in the street: one of them is green; it is where you can throw recyclables; while in the grey ones you can throw other types of waste. So, if you come to visit Argentina, you need to know that papers, newspapers, boxes, cardboard, glass, metals and plastics are recyclables and for this reason you have to use the green containers.
There is still a way. Together we can change the world. So are you going to help our planet?
