LEVEL 5 OPERATIONS OR DEPARTMENTAL MANAGER

Who is This Programme For?
This programme is for managers who run departments and manage teams or projects. It will cover all the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to be a successful department head or operations manager in rail.
What Your Apprentice Will Learn
Being an effective department head or operations manager requires leadership and people management skills, project management capability, and the ability to make effective decisions and understand the complexity of relationships in rail.
This two-year programme will provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to excel in delivering operational plans, managing resources effectively, and leading and developing the talent within their team.
Following the training, a further 6 months is spent in End Point Assessment, producing a workbased project and preparing for a professional conversation on their apprentice portfolio.

Delivery
We deliver a blended approach that includes face-to-face and online workshops, dedicated coaching, and master-classes.
Duration
Typically, this programme will take 24 months, plus Gateway and EPA.
Eligibility
Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this prior to taking their end point assessment.
How Much Does this Apprenticeship Cost?
For Levy Employers £ 9,000 per person( can also be paid directly by employer)
For Non-Levy Employers( SMEs) £ 350 per person( the remaining 95 % of the cost is funded by the ESFA)
