LEVEL 4 OPERATIONS MANAGER

Who is This Programme For?
This programme is for people who want to become effective operations managers and those who seek a better understanding of rail operations, the rail system as a whole, and their role within it.
The programme covers all the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to be a successful department head or operations manager in rail.
What a CIRO Level 4 Apprentice Will Learn
Apprentices will learn how to be effective department heads or operations managers. They will gain a detailed understanding of the rail system and operations, including targets and obligations, infrastructure, and assets. The programme includes leadership and people management skills.
Apprentices will also learn how to make effective decisions by understanding the complexity of relationships in rail. This 14-month programme will provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to become confident, decisive, succession-ready operations managers.

Delivery
We deliver a blended approach that includes face-to-face and online workshops, dedicated
coaching and tutoring, and master-classes.
Duration
Typically, this programme will take 14 months plus gateway and EPA.
Eligibility
Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this prior to taking their end point assessment.
How Much Does this Apprenticeship Cost?
For Levy Employers
£ 12,000 per person( can also be paid directly by employer)
For Non-Levy Employers( SMEs) £ 600 per person( The remaining 95 % of the cost is funded by the ESFA)
