FASHION DOS AND DONTS

Do: Rock the red lipstick. This color used to be a “winter-only” color, but the truth is, it’s a classic look that you too can rock all year long. Marilyn did! (Hint: Find the right red for your skin tone. Not all reds look good on everyone.)

Don’t: Clog your pores with heavy make-up. Summer is almost here and as much as we all hate to let our blemishes go uncovered, it is better for our skin to breath. You will find your skin start to clear up and blemishes fade away.

Don’t: Go into the sun without protection. We have all heard that the sun is harmful to us but we all ignore this because we want to achieve the perfect tan. However, skin cancer is a real thing!!! Stay healthy and lather on some sunscreen. Besides, even if you think you are pasty white, it is okay! Your porcelain skin is classic and always beautiful.

If however you are itching for a tan…

Do: Use bronzers and self- tanners. I have been experimenting with a few from local drug stores and have had great success with many of them. I can achieve my perfect tan without putting myself at risk. (Hint: Don’t forget to wash your hands after you lotion up. You might not notice for a few days, but eventually you’ll look down and realize your palms are orange! Not a very popular look….)
