For one, all the teachers will get their own classrooms, something the teachers have desired for years. This will allow teachers to customize their classrooms to match their curriculum which will only improve student opportunities. Half of the teachers have had to share their classrooms so this will be a big change for the better.

Another example is the heating and cooling systems which haven't been replaced since the building was built in the 1950s. They are worked on regularly by the custodial staff, yet the school is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. This new operation will be a welcome change.

Another welcome change comes in the form of using space efficiently. The current classrooms’ layout misuses valuable space that could be better used. The remodel will allow for more equally sized classrooms and more learning spaces, offering teachers their own, modern school environment. This makes the teachers happy. And happier teachers mean happier students.

So with the remodel of the building also comes a remodel of how people view Community High School. Hopefully it will no longer be viewed as a second-class school by Joe Public. Instead people will see it as an educational equal. One that offers students another road to success.
