However, after a month the extreme desolation began to seep into my very blood. My
body began to adapt. Once you reach this stage, you will somehow enjoy the cold a bit.
Not too much though. Now, the air feels cool and crisp, like a refreshing drink of cool
water. I enjoy it everytime when walking to town or during days when visiting other part
of Wales. I could walk for hours without feeling tired, thirsty or find a single sweat on
my body. I can jog in the morning or afternoon with the wind giving me a friendly blow.
Though the winter had been long, the first signs
of spring grew boldly during March, as if com-
manding the warm weather to come all the fast-
er for us. I could leave the accommodation under
a blue sky, with Daffodils blooming and scattered
across the landscape. The naked winter trees now
grew more leaves and birds are more active in
the sky. The wind become ambient - no longer
stealing our warmth. More sunny days come
with glow and sunshine. Although this sun is not
enough to burn, it banishes the chill to memory.
