Fall Sports Come to a Close By Thomas Pinto ‘ 26

Football
With all the injuries , tough games , and the fact that we lost multiple Division 1 players last year , the Brother Rice football team struggled . With an 0 - 9 record , offensive coordinator Mr . Galli says
“ It [ was ] tough , we ’ ve had a lot of injuries , growing pains with the younger guys on the team . But all in all the guys worked really hard , and we can ’ t ask for more .”
Cross Country
“ The Brother Rice Cross Country team workedhard to stay in peak shape and win but we have lost ,” senior Liam Collin said .
“ I [ was ] really hoping to be able to go to States again just like last year , as well as being all Catholic again and just finish my last year as a Warrior strong .”
Liam ’ s desire to return to the State competition and earn the All-Catholic title once again reflects the team ’ s dedication to winning . Together , the Warriors were focused on finishing the season strong by going all the way .

Soccer
With 8 wins , the Warriors Soccer team showed promise and commitment to winning throughout the season . On the other hand , their 7 losses showed that winning is not easy against some teams , and the competition is fierce .
Sophomore , Fillipo Leone , said :
“ We have won and lost some , but we ’ re still tried to have a winning record by the end of the season .”
When the season finished , Brother Rice ended with a 8-7-1 record losing the District Semifinals against Cranbrook . Looking to the future , the team is mainly composed of sophomores
and juniors specifically Ethan Brown , Dominic Kretschmer , and Anthony Mancani , as well as some talented freshmen , the Soccer Team has the potential of getting a winning record for many

future seasons to come .
Tennis
With the Brother Rice tennis team being mainly composed of sophomores and juniors , they were not necessarily expected to have a winning season .
Sophomore , Joey Mitchell , said :
“ We needed some motivation , someone to hype us up .”
The tennis team did successfully secure their spot and participated in the postseason , placing 3rd at the CHSL Championship , where Patrick Cretu won All-State honors , and won 1 singles title .
The Warriors won Regionals , winning 6 out of 8 flights , and finished the season 5th in the state . With Charlie Grace finishing his last season as a Warrior , the Tennis team is going to miss one of their All-State Honors player .
