There came a time, after losing subscribers on my blog and feeling really down about it, when I thought this journey had reached the end of the road and it was time to pack the car up and drive back home. I thought that my words and my story were no longer inspiring anybody.
That’s when I got an email.
It was from a girl, saying that she really liked what I was doing (through my blogging journey and into what is now Christ Centered Girls). She told me that the words I wrote really touched her. After emailing back and forth, I found out that she discovered my site through another blog (on which I was featured as a guest blogger).
Obviously I was shocked.
This girl, from all the way around the world, stumbled across my blog and God was using my words and my story to guide her through some really challenging times. It was amazing to see how, just through a blog post and a couple of emails, I was able to make a difference. And because of my impact on her life, she’s now making impacts on other people’s lives in the name of Christ.
The Lord has always had a plan for my life. My story has been written by His pen from the very beginning of time, and an eternity before that. I don’t know what the end of my story is going to look like, I don’t know what exactly my purpose on earth will be. But I know that Christ wants me here for a reason.
Jesus Christ will return one day to take His lovers and His followers up to Glory, and there are thousands upon thousands of people walking the earth who have never experienced the love of Christ. And that’s why I’m doing this, to tell you (yes, you) that you are loved by the Creator of the universe, the one that formed all the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and the creatures that roam the earth. You are treasured by the One that gave His life so that you can be saved.
How many teens do you see roaring like a lion?
That’s why this magazine is a reality, because it’s my passion to serve and love Christ. And by putting together blog posts and working on magazine layouts, this is one of those ways. It’s my joy to be the hands and feet of Christ, to let His words flow through me.
