F H LAE N E WH O RIK O N S Y C O What was on your mind when you were designing your recent collection? I have this dark fairytale haunting my mind that I keep returning to. Perhaps its a combination of bits of stories I’ve come to know throughout my life. The idea of this entirely glamorous woman entering the carnivorous clutches of winter. Society has driven her out into the barren landscape. Her beauty, her strength, her self....is all being tore into by the elements. Survival of this woman, her raw power ...like the majesty and nobility of equine beauty. Black hair against the icy white blanket. Strong muscular legs driving through the snow. The idea of something pristine going raw...i dont want to say de-evolve because that implies lessoning and in this case its the opposite.... Its more of a Escape of the bindings of everyday life. Does New York inspire you? Of course I draw inspiration from every where I travel. What are the colours that you were gravitating towards? Navy blues, royal blue, pink which is totally not me but it was a good surprise. Is there anyone’s style that you are in love with at the moment?
