This is the art and also a historic law following in Chinakkathoor which cannot see any where in the world like this.
The Horseplay (dummy horses) of Chinakkathoor is greatly renowned for recollection of “Mamankam”. There are 16 Horses representing the old Rulers and prominent land lords of the area and it is believed that King Zamorin is the originator of this gala. The head of horse is carved in wood and the body is decorated with clothes according to their designation.
